My first HDD was a Seagate 1-TB that came with my Hiseeu NVR. The Seagate lasted just over 1-year and Hiseeu would not replace the HDD unless I gave them a 5-Star review which I was not going to do just to get a free Seagate 1-TB HDD. Plus I would never give a 5-Star review on a junk system that I was sold so instead, I bought this Western Digital 3TB not knowing if it would work but once I installed it, it did work right away without even formatting it. I still did format it eventhough it worked as soon as I plugged into my SATA/ power cables. This product does work. It is easy to install. It’s easy to format and it was delivered the next day after ordered. I highly recommend this product for your surveillance camera system. It also has a lot more storage than the 1-TB that comes with the Hiseeu system. This HDD is quiet and I cannot here it at all. It has only been installed for about 48- hours so time will tell how long it will actually last but as of now I am very impressed overall. If something goes wrong with it over time I will update my review but for now 5-Stars.

When I bought my Lorex system from Lorex, i got their 8TB HD (Seagate). It was a bad drive and failed to be recognized by my system. Lorex customer service made me remove, reinstall, remove, reinstall even though I had already told them I am tech-savvy and the HDD was dead. I returned it for a refund. I bought this one and it was $100 cheaper and worked flawlessly and instantly. If you have a Lorex and want the max size HDD (8TB), I’d recommend this purple.

The Hard Drive works perfectly inside of my XmartO 10 Channel NVR. I simply didn’t like the fact that it did not come with mounting screws. I had to go to Lowe’s and buy a small bag of #6 screws.

My original hard drive went bad after several years. This replacement not only gave new life to my system, but increased the size for a very reasonable cost. Truly plug and play component which was well packaged.

My NVR stopped working so I couldn’t record. I could just look in real time however once I installed my new hard drive it works like charm !! I can record finally with my surveillance cameras! Whoohoo!! Great value as well

I bought this for my Reolink NVR as extra storage for surveillance footage. It was highly recommended on many Reolink forums and one of the HDDs suggested by Reolink themselves.At first, my NVR recognized it but for way less gigs than it was labeled for (I bought 4tb/4000gb). Then at reboot, it wouldn’t show up at all. Different cables didn’t work and Windows couldn’t do anything with it either. It was shipped only in thin, sealed plastic with a label on it, no padding at all. It was probably thrown and dropped multiple times before it was even tossed in my package lock box.I ordered a 4tb Seagate Skyhawk HDD instead – it was shipped in the same sealed plastic but in a cardboard box with fitted cardboard framing inside to keep it from getting jostled around. It was shipped like they cared about the product and wanted it to work for me! I plugged it in, formatted it and rebooted the NVR – IT WORKED! Started writing data immediately! No fuss required!I’m sure this is a great brand, I’m just sad that I ended up with a dud and will be returning it 🙁
